Barry sent me a picture of a sinking boat on the River Thames alongside Wilsham Road. Since the snow cleared, there has been a lot of rain, and the river levels have increased.

But in this case, the boat was already sunk. Here is the same boat in January.
Covering of snow

There was a light covering of snow at the start of the day in Abingdon, as shown in St Helen’s churchyard. After 9 am the snow soon melted. Snow and rain continued to fall throughout the day.
P.S. That is blossom on that tree.
Chiropody Clinic move

The Chiropody Clinic re-opened today in new premises at Coxeter House. They were previously off Bath Street and have been going since 1983. Their website is https://www.abingdonchiropody.com/.

The Spice Valley restaurant, previously on that premises, closed last September after being there since 1998.
2 High Street – Is this progress?

The former Children’s Air Ambulance shop has pages from the Financial Times in the window. This could well be a sign that something is happening inside.

Several businesses have been using that premises since Braggs closed in 2002. Braggs began trading in 1912. (This picture is cut from one I found on eBay from May 16th 1994, by John Lawrence. Somebody in Latvia is selling old press photographs from the Oxford Mail, mostly of Abingdon Town F.C. This one was of the museum but does show Braggs.)
