Pudsey was in Abingdon today collecting money. Tomorrow (Friday) is the big day when much of the BBC helps to raise money for Children in Need.
(Behind him Poundland was doing a roaring first day of trade.)
Meanwhile a Christmas Tree has become a topic of much conversation since it appeared yesterday. A replacement is to be sent by the supplier, but before that happens I feel the tree is in need of a fitting caption… One Pound to Children in Need for each good one. Be generous with your good humour.
Definitely in need of a ‘spruce’ up
All fir coat and no needles…
Captions aside – Pudsey bear was great. I gave my little one some money for the collecting tin and not only did she get a little sticker, she also got a bear-shaped biscuit cutter and best of all – a big hug from Pudsey himself! She didn’t stop talking about that hug all day!
MrsO that is worth 5 pound for Pudsey. so that is 7 so far.
Pining for the fjords …
Deck my boughs with balls and lollies
Fir goodness sake….
It’s looking firlorn!
I think I shall never see, a thing as lovely as a tree.
What do you call a dead Christmas Tree? A never green.
Bring back the birch. This is high treesin — a Christmas tree pining for it’s needles.
Fir Goodness Sake leaf me alone.
Stop Needling me, I am doin my best……
I must say, all these comments are treemendous (took me all afternoon to think of that).
thanks all. That is £20 to children in need. I will just log in and pay. All I had was “Oh Christmas Tree O Christmas Tree. How muddy are your branches” which I put on the tweet
Did it fall off the back of a lorry or was some other town tring to get rid of it ?
