The Morris Men’s Challenge

The Mayor of Abingdon and Mayor of Ock Street are pictured here together yesterday in the Brewery Tap, after the Morris Men’s Challenge – where a team of the Morris Men compete against a team from the Town Council at pub games and a quiz. The Mayor of Ock Street is the traditionally elected leader of the Morris Men.

The Mayor of Abingdon and Mayor of Ock Street in 2008 at the same event.

And again in 2009. As you can see the Mayor of Abingdon changes annually but not the Mayor of Ock Street.
Two restaurant changes

Two town centre restaurants have seen changes in the last couple of weeks. The Bath Street Bistro has opened in place of Camino.

Zabb Thai has replaced Daddy’s Cafe after a refit, and it re-opened yesterday.
