Two restaurant changes

Bath Street Bistro
Two town centre restaurants have seen changes in the last couple of weeks. The Bath Street Bistro has opened in place of Camino.
Zabb Thai
Zabb Thai has replaced Daddy’s Cafe after a refit, and it re-opened yesterday.

..and more changes are on the way if the rumours that are
flying around town are to be believed.
ASK is to move to the old Post Office site and
JD Weatherspoons are to finally move in to the current ASK site. Can anyone confirm this ?

A bit of competition for the Thai Orchard. But which one is better? There’s ony one way to find out…

We’ll have to check it out then if my namesake says it’s good (incidentally there are now 4 Phil Mays living in or linked with Abingdon. It’s like the twilight zone! Eek! Very confusing when you try to pick up a prescription!)

I have seen insidethe old post office whilst the door has been open and all that seems to have happened is the old counter has been removed, doesnt look as if there would be enough room for wither Ask or Weatherspoons

Food in the Bath Street Bistro is excellent. Popped in there last Wednesday and extremely impressed. The menu outside looks quite short (but all sound very tasty). But they have loads of specials. There were only two tables eating, so please do support them.

I shall be trying the new Thai place soon, can’t go into Thai Orchid since they received no stars on the Scores on the Doors site!

Tried the new Zabb Thai last weekend, and it was pretty tasty! We got a take-out, with a 10% discount and we got a free bottle of beer each, as it was their opening month! Very friendly staff too. Would recommend!!
