The most comments ever on this blog was in July 2011 for Tesco Express 2

Tesco had taken over the Fitzharris Arms and turned it into a Tesco Express – very close to an existing convenience store called The One Stop.

The Ox pub was just about to go the same way, and become a Tesco Express – next door was another convenience store called Best One.

Five years on both Tesco Extras are still there as are the nearby convenience stores, although Best One is now Bargain Booze.

The restaurant once known at Kitsons, and then as The Olives Greek Restaurant for the last 2 or 3 years, is to become a Mexican Restaurant. The Grand Opening is Saturday 16th April 2016.

One of Abingdon’s guitar shops – Fine Guitars – is to close. They sell fine guitars, ukuleles, accessories, and music for all instruments.

That still leaves one guitar shop in Abingdon: Remade Guitars, at Coxeter House, not only sell guitars, but also repair, customise, and modify guitars.

Everything looks set for the opening of the Wildwood Kitchen on Bury Street. Over the coming weekend there will be a ‘soft opening’ with a limited number of customers to ensure everything is working properly.

Then on Monday they will be opening properly.
