This afternoon there was an open invitation for tea and birthday cake at the Helen and Douglas House Charity Shop which was five years old today.

I now have a Choose Abingdon card and have started building up points in some of the town’s shops.

The card is available for £3 from the Community Shop – just moved, or from any participating shop . Find out more on the Choose Abingdon website – also launched today.

Where the Cherries amusement arcade once was, a Skinny Hippo is coming… I think they do Crafts and Gifts. Children or anyone over 60 can come in and be creative and make their own card or pot on the premises, while those of an inbetween age browse gifts from around the world.

Remade Guitar workshop and sales are about to open at Coxeters. So in a matter of months Abingdon has gone from zero to two guitar shops. You can buy a guitar in one, smash it, and then remake it in the other.

The Gift Centre has nearly completed their move to a few doors further up the shopping centre, and have opened.
