Vodafone Abingdon opened today

Vodafone Abingdon opened today
Vodafone Abingdon opened at Unit 8, Bury Street at 10am this morning. The new store is part of Vodafone’s £100 million nationwide expansion, opening 150 new shops and creating 1,400 jobs in the next year.

The store has top ten tables displaying the best-selling devices, so customers can try them out before buying. They also have 5 employees their to help. The red balloons proved very popular with youngsters in town today.

Opening Friday

Just one day to go… Vodafone Abingdon are to open on Friday 3rd October 2014. The Mayor and Town Crier will be there.

Up until now the nearest Vodafone shops were to be found in the City of Oxford, in the unspoilt Market Town of Witney, the ever expanding town of Bicester, and Newbury, where Vodafone have their HQ.

I took a couple of pictures from in front of St Nicolas Church. The first shows the blur of a moving cyclist with the County Hall behind.

The second, taken a couple of hours later, shows the blur of a moving car with the County Hall behind.
