Abingdon Sea Cadets rowing challenge

Abingdon Sea Cadets
Abingdon Sea Cadets are taking part in a national sponsored row around the world in 80 hours between 18 – 21 April to raise money for a much needed new ship as the old one is over 40 and coming to the end of her working life.

They were in action at Abingdon Market Place today on rowing machines and added 67 more miles onto the national total to help the charity reach the goal of 24,900 miles, the number of miles around the globe. They would have done more but one of the rowing machines did not last the day – a lovely day that also saw The Friends of Radley Lakes, and Abingdon Guildhall consultation on the Market Place
