Last week the work to re-line Abingdon Lock appeared to be back on track, the floods having abated for three or four weeks.
This week the flood waters are back, not quite to the same extent as in previous floods, but enough to fill the lock chamber, make the boards float, and make work stop.
It looks quite pretty with a walkway going through it
I wonder how tight the work schedule has become to have the lock functioning by the holiday season. This could have an effect on those whose livelihoods depend in any way on seasonal river traffic.
