The Abingdon Herald told how an Estate Agent sawed through two thick vine branches to erect their sign on Bath Street. Somebody has now graffitied the word ‘Vandals’ on the sign.

Last year a sign was erected across the High Street to advertise that the Outdoor Pool was open. Very soon after one of the ropes snapped and it ended up wrapped round a traffic light. This year the ropes have held firm but the sign has still been twisted and torn by the wind. But it has lasted longer.
