Arts Festival – Finale

Arthur Smith EXPOSED was a sell out, and the town’s carparks were full. At the same time in the town the Abingdon Symphony Orchestra were at St Helens Church playing Sibelius, Kindertransport was being performed by Abingdon Drama Club at the Unicorn, and there was a beer festival with music at The Broad Face.

Thanks to Stuart who sent me pictures of Saxophones at the Royal British Legion from last night.

This afternoon at 3pm there is the first of a series of Abbey Chamber Concerts at St Nics Church.

I was talking to one of The Saxophones earlier today, suggested a change of name and was misheard as saying that ‘The Saxophonics’ would be a good alternative name.

What I was saing was, ‘The Sexophonics’.

Can I ask for police protection?

    (cracking name, though)

    I’m going into hiding.

And not forgetting a top evening with Abbey Brass in their Listen to the Band concert at Yolande Patterson Hall, St Helen and St Katharine School. The main band and training band did a cracking set each followed by a grand finale featuring the two bands together.

We were also very impressed with Kinderstransport on Thursday night, particularly the portrayal of Eva.
