Due to the government restrictions, only food and drink traders were on the Market Place for the Local Excellence Market.
Stalls were spaced out and a lot of people were wearing face masks.
If the national lockdown easing plan stays on track, there could be a fuller Local Excellence Market on 29th May.

We will have Heritage Weekend on 18-19 September as well – just starting to work up plans for some fun and interesting activities…..
I discovered yesterday’s market by chance – it wasn’t a 5th Saturday so I was not expecting it. I couldn’t even find it in Town Crier, March 2021. Publicity could be improved!
It also was not advertised on the town council’s website, as a Market Place event, as far as I could see.
It was advertised across local social media sites.
