In the Abbey Meadows, in Abingdon, members of the Carbon Cutters were tidying up and pruning the garden beside the children’s play area. There will be some new colourful planting next year.
Nearby work is still underway on refurbishing the toilets. They will include five self-contained unisex toilets, men’s urinals, and a wheelchair accessible toilet with a height adjustable adult-sized changing bench and hoist. There will also be baby changing facilities.
I’ve just been to the Abbey Cinema and I’d like to say that it was one of the best evenings out I’ve had in a long time.
Maybe it was the film (Bohemian Rhapsody), maybe it was the fact it was ‘sing along’, but as an ‘experience’ it was great and I didn’t begrudge the price one bit. Not better than a multi Plex. Not worse. Just different. And brilliantly different.
Thank you for bringing such a wonderful thing to Abingdon.
Did you go for the full dressing up experience Daniel?
If I can shake off my post Christmas bug, I’m very tempted to dust off my fedora and pop along to Casablanca tomorrow night.
Daniel I went along too and I agree it was an absolutely brilliant night with a great atmosphere and clearly sold out.
Iain – there was definitely a Brian May lookalike and a few Freddie M moustaches around!
