End of Choose Abingdon Loyalty Card

Abingdon Loyalty Card
Anybody who has tried adding points to their Choose Abingdon Loyalty Card in 2015 will have found they can’t.

The initial scheme has run its course, and a replacement scheme using mobile phones is being investigated. You can still redeem points but not add new ones to the card.

In the mean time the loyalty card is more than a nice souvenir; it will still allow discounted entry on event tickets.

I thought the card was to be made free to traders under the Abingdon BID. Is the BID still taking place as the vote did not happen and no new information seems available.

Ab Trader, you’re not alone in wondering what the heck is going on ! this BID farce is yet another example of just how much time and money (ours) the choose abingdon partnership have wasted over the past four years.
Apparently worse is to come too, I was at a business gathering last week where it was said that the officer of the partnership (the person responsible for starting the loyalty card) is now in full time employment at Abingdon Town council and thats why the card has closed, she’s jumped ship ?

It is a joke that Miele sponsor this card after they turffed out 25 small local businesses from their premisis just before christmas!

Why wasn’t I told about the cancellation of the choose Abingdon loyalty card??????? I have collected points since the scheme began and thought I was helping Abingdon!!!!!!!

I kept forgetting to use it! Don’t you need a minimum amount on it to redeem anything? The whole thing was just a silly (and expensive) gimmick – I don’t mourn its passing.
