The County Council have been putting in a load of new bollards to protect the pavements in West St Helen Street. The bollards appear to be designed to stop residents parking in front of their own houses.
Bollards already surround the Market Place and Old County Hall.
The poster on the bus shelter is to advertise the Alice in Wonderland Maize Maze at Millets Farm. The street furniture at this point of the Marcham Road, outside the Community Hospital, does have an Alice in Wonderland-ish look. The seat is so very far removed from the bin and both are so very far from the bus shelter.
When the bus shelter moved, as part of a road improvement, over a year ago, people might have expected the seat to follow.
The new bus stops on Stratton Way and High Street are sleek black models, and now it appears that the older models along the Oxford Road are being painted black.
This one is so black it is difficult to see.
Perhaps the bins, and bus stop signs will be next to follow this new scheme.
Five new seats and five new bins have recently appeared in the Albert Park. This has led to a super abundance of litter bins since a lot of the old stone bins are still there – even though the broken and vandalised seats had to be removed.
In the Albert Park the thaw has led to some very slushy paths.
