Seat expected to follow

New Tree
The poster on the bus shelter is to advertise the Alice in Wonderland Maize Maze at Millets Farm. The street furniture at this point of the Marcham Road, outside the Community Hospital, does have an Alice in Wonderland-ish look. The seat is so very far removed from the bin and both are so very far from the bus shelter.

When the bus shelter moved, as part of a road improvement, over a year ago, people might have expected the seat to follow.

The contractors only do what there told,It is the unjoined thinking of the council that lets us all down!

It’s great – do the buses stop near the trees in the background, with the passengers queuing behind the photographer? Abingdon could be in the Guiness Book of Records as having the longest bus stop in the country, something to be proud of!

I believe that the tree in the background still has a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) on it, but that didn’t stop the contractors from hacking away at the roots.

…they needed to hack away at the roots, otherwise they couldn’t have got the foundations in, for the road to be widened.
