Trial Brews

Loose Canon
In the Brewery Tap pub, barrels with Morland, Abingdon can still be seen in the back room. The Brewery Tap was at the gateway of  the large Abingdon Morland brewery – now taken over and part of Greene King with its brewery in Suffolk.

Loose Canon
The Brewery Tap is the pub where you can now try out a new Abingdon beer – brewed in a much smaller brewery on Suffolk Way, off the Drayton Road in Abingdon. There is Abingdon Bridge trial brew 2 and trial brew 1 on offer.
Loose Canon
It is a matter of taste which you will prefer.
Loose Canon
Run by Will Laithwaite, Loose Cannon is the name of the new Abingdon brewery. Laithwaite is a name already well known in wine circles. Let us hope it will soon become a name renowned  for beers as well.

Phoneland Abingdon Closed

Phoneland

People were collecting some of the shop contents last weekend. They continue to trade from their other two shops in Bicester and High Wycombe although the Abingdon shop closed at the end of May. A notice in the window says to contact them at their Bicester or High Wycombe address if anybody needs them…
