Thanks to all who suggested titles for the 2010 Heritage Day leaflet and website. The one chosen was ‘Abingdon Rediscovered’ – as suggested by MJB.
I see that there is a new shop called Hatton Goldsmiths on the Market Place. The Mayor kindly stood in front with his gold chain as a photo opportunity but I just couldn’t think of a suitable caption.
Ablingdon?
Don’t you dare Duncan!
Oh dear – is this really what we want in such a prime location?
Weighing it in — the mayor the merrier.
if i ever want to sell my gold for significantly below the market value i’ll know where to go!
… this was last time the town jewels were seen in public – a reward is being offered…
Market forces and business ‘opportunity’ aside…what a shame…
Goodness…what a very unattractive shop front; and in such an attractive location
Could it be worse?
How irredeemably naff. Even the 9TP shop front looks better.
BArgain Booze
9TP
Gold Buying shop
Am a noticing a trend in Abingdon here?
Yes, people selling all their gold to fund their drink? Then moving along to spend the remaining coins in 9TP?

It’s best to take part in a contest for probably the greatest blogs on the web. I will recommend this site!
