The Tattoo shop has moved from its old site at 123 Ock Street.

and moved into what was the letting office of a well known Abingdon estate agent – empty for a while at 5 High Street.

Next door at 7-9 High Street, the 9TP / pound shop+ are closing down now their lease is up.

There is a planning application to change the use of that large fronted premises from retail to finance and professional Services. The property owner say they are finding it difficult to find a retailer in that location and they don’t want to have an empty property.

At Coxeters, The Warehouse has expanded
to use the shop front next door as a workwear logo and T shirt printers. You just take you design and graphics along and they do it on the premises.

The computer printer and repair shop, that was there before, has moved inside the main Coxeters retail area, near Centre Stage (for party and dance) and Abode Interiors.

The Fitzharris Arms closed down last December. Contractors have been busy for the last couple of months converting the building into a Tesco express which is due to open this month.

Not far away down the Wootton Road is the Tesco owned One-Stop store. They operate as a separate business – without ‘Tesco’ in their name – and with a different range of products.  So Tesco express and One-Stop will be local competitors.
