The news said that yesterday was the hottest September 30th in 100 years, and went on to predict that today could be the hottest October Day on record. It began with sun light streaming through the trees of the Ock Valley Walk.

The congregation at Trinity was swelled by about 30 extra people from a temporary caravan site on the cricket ground – part of a Christian caravan fellowship.
Out on an early morning walk, I saw the sun rise over Abingdon Sailing Club at 6am.
March 2011 was the driest since 1953. It was also within the top 15 Marches for sunshine in the last century. April began with seasonal showers but has now settled and we have just had the warmest day of the year. The mist on the river was soon gone.
