Today is blog action day and thousands of bloggers are writing about water. This evening’s picture shows lights and buildings reflected on the River Thames.

In the year 2000 over £50,000 was raised for the Abingdon Millennium project. It included donations from Abingdon UK and Abingdon Virginia. There is no millennium monument to show for it – no sculpture on the Market Place. Instead, the money went to help fund WaterAid projects in Ethiopia and India.
