We do need the lights to cheer us up at this dark time of the year.

Poundland has re-opened and the number of flowers outside have grown since I took this picture.
Funeral of Kerry Reeves

Today at Trinity Church the funeral of Kerry Reeves was held. She died much too young.

Many flowers were left near the scene close to where she was shot.
Mounted police were outside Poundland today

Mounted police were outside Poundland today as a reassuring gesture after yesterday’s fatal stabbing.

The Street Pastors were also there for anybody who wanted to talk.

Close by, for the next week in the Community Free Space, there is a Christmas reflective space with different areas to explore the Christmas Story.

Tony has sent a small cheerful sign in times of bad news – the first daffodils in a small front garden in central Abingdon.
From Trinity Facebook “Prayers for the family & friends of the person stabbed in Abingdon today. Prayers for the those shaken by the attack and our town traders.“
