Having been marketed as the Abbey Shopping Centre for the last few years it appears that the previous name ‘Bury Street’ is now making a come back. The shopping centre was getting spruced up today.
I gather that the bosses will be coming down next week for a launch.

Walked round there today and its like a ghost town, so many empty units
There Saturday, afternoon raining, the ew people there, taking shelter under trees, or under the remaining covers at the Picture Gallery End. All bemoaning, loss of cover/empty shops. The few shops there are selling the same thing
Coffee/Bakery/Opticians/bookshops selling the same books -Costa Coffee machine broken, they only sold tea or Americanos. Very sad in Bury Street Precinct really.
Tried to get into The Narrows for something to eat, full to the rafters….eat in Pizza Express.

The Muppets behind this development need to have a word with themselves.
Seriously, who in their right minds spends millions on a development like this with no businesses lined up to fill the units?
I also tried to get in the Narrows Sunday, but couldn’t get a seat so ate in the Kings Head and Bell, nice meal and good ale.
If there’d been a cinema you could have popped in for the matinee ;0)
