Yesterday was fantastic – town was really busy and I heard so many positive comments about abingdon being a beautiful and historic town.

Well done Alastair, Hester and your gang – brilliantly organised.

Hear hear. There was a real ‘buzz’ in the town yesterday – it was great to be here and amongst it. I think that the improvements to the Nag’s Head garden/island have also made a huge difference to the attractiveness of the town and riverside.
But…… a big thank you to all of the people who organised and took part in the Heritage events. It was/is a great success. More today of course!

The last photograph illustrates that the Old Goal development is one storey too high. This is a lesson that we must not allow any development of The Charter to be so high that it dominates the rest of the town.
