How amazing to see that – and catch it on film ! Well done, Alastair
Seems to be season of birds and the bees. Our pond has filled this weekend with frogs returning home for spawning – not as graceful as alistair’s swans but fascinating non-the-less.
Wonderful film – thank you.
Natural synchronicity of Olympic Gold standard!
This site is my early morning call – what a pleasure it is.
Paul
sure it’s beautiful when it’s swans – but then you or i try it on the banks of the thames and they call the police on you! – it’s animalist i tell you.
Brilliant! – I’ve forwarded it to St. Helen’s for their archives..
We left Abingdon 18 months ago and I still enjoy your blog every morning. The swans and cygnets were a great delight for me and I miss them here on the Kent coasdt, despite the many other attractions. Thank you so much for this wonderful video and soundtrack

I keep up with Abingdon news when I am not there by checking your blog, Alastair. I love watching the cygnets grow each year. When we left last autumn the cygnets were just getting their long white wing feathers. So here is the beginning of this year’s family! I posted this You Tube link on my FaceBook, and my daughter accused me of posting “swan porn”. My nephew said it isn’t, unless the viewer is a swan!
Porn? O tempora o mores! I am a ghast!
Is being a “ghast” from the same family as a “lert” ?
