When I first saw it I thought it might be an abstract (ish?) representation of a lock gate? I think it is rather nice.
Will it become a Tesco’s?
These are paddles and rymers used in weirs (that are in the process of being replaced or refurbished) along the Thames.

Adding to Chris S above – lots of locks along the Thames have these. They’re the old manual paddles used before the modernisation of some of the locks and weirs.
Looks like a Guillotine – maybe a revolution?
