The Abingdon Sea Cadets were not only leading the Extravaganza parade but they have also won a High Efficiency Pennant – a Sea Cadets top national award for the high standards they have achieved over the past 12 months. It was presented to them by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant on 22nd November.

Also Genny, pictured above, is now a Petty Officer Cadet, the first time in 6 years an Abingdon Cadet has achieved the highest Cadet rank possible. She is seen here with her proud mum, Sue.

Nice to see, in a town with the army occupying a disused RAF station, hail the Senior Service
(ex-RAF and served 6 years at Abingdon)

Served 4 years as a Royal Marine Wren and at HMS President ,what a wonderful example Genny is to the Senior Service. I wish her good luck.
