A new noticeboard has appeared at Reynolds Way shops, near the murals – a place where it hs always been difficult to display information about community events. The cost of the notice board was probably more than doubled by planning application costs. It is not that the district council are making money out of such community projects, but each planning application has to be fairly considered to find whether there are any objections that are against local planning regulations …
- Letters asking for comments were sent out,
- Documents needed compiling and loading to the internet,
- Site visits and an officer report had to be written and presented at the Abingdon area development control committee.
The planning application went through and so the noticeboard is now there, thanks to Sovereign Vale Housing and SARP.
To get your community information on that space, try dropping it in at …
Reynolds Way Notice Board, 52 Mill Road, Abingdon, OX14 5NZ.
Perhaps they could pin up the redundancy notices on it for the utter waste of space pen pushers…
Oh dear! More cynicism.
Oh, isn’t that Mary DeVere’s address? She’s running the notice board is she?
