Former Charter Day Centre building back in limited use

The Strong & Stable free seated exercise class, which previously met at Unit 24, will now take place at the former Charter Day Centre building. The building was last used, as far as I know, for Covid-19 vaccinations. Plans for it to be used by a learning disabilities and autism charity did not go ahead. The Charter Day Centre closed in October 2017, but it will now see some limited use.

It was a real shame that Yellow Submarine, the young people’s charity you mentioned, weren’t able to get an agreement to use that space – they would have provided excellent training/employment opportunities for disadvantaged young people – a very topical issue at present. Thankfully they have now found somewhere else, but sadly not in Abingdon.
Good to see that VWHDC are now using it themselves though – a valuable service for another section of the community.
