and then a line of trees in blossom.

The Abbey Grounds are transformed into a wonderland of white.
Trees, both near the Cattle Market Carpark and around Abbey House, are hung with blooms. The small leaves are just appearing.
Even yesterday’s strong winds haven’t marred this yet. The trees are at the height of a Spring celebration.

We’re fortunate to have so many lovely blossoming trees in this town. It’s a shame the windy weather is blowing the blossom off a bit quickly though!

Butterworth was a music master at Radley College. He lived in the lodge by the gate, which has a plaque to him. Tragically he was killed in WW1. What a waste!
