We are used to Keep Clear signs near schools and junctions but there are areas where they are more controversial. This is from a Hadland Road correspondent …
“The first of these markings was put down in January, the second painted this week. At this rate we will not be able to use our own street by the summer or perhaps space is being reserved for a royal wedding street party….. It would be interesting to see if there are residential roads with more paint!”
Our correspondent says “I need sunglasses such is the glare off the fresh white paint when looking out of the window in the full morning sunlight… Horrendous and unnecessary“
We need these Keep Clear signs at the other end of Hadland Road by Nyatt Road so people stop using these roads as an overflow carpark for the leisure centre. Two weekends in a row, both roads have lines of cars parked … leisure centre not interested in resolving the problem which is a shame.

We had this problem on Hadland Road in front of the community centre with people parking all around the corners of the junction with Clarendon Close. This made it difficult to get out of Clarendon Close as you couldn’t see round the corners.
We talked to our local councillors Lesley Legge and Julie Mayhew-Archer about it and a few months later we got white lines painted around the corners. This has improved things quite a bit.
Nyatt Road does already have a white line but perhaps it needs repainting or some no stopping signs put up or something.
