Abingdon Toy Town Estate

Thank you to Daniel for more drone pictures of the Abingdon’s new estate by the Wootton Road. Driving past the other day my wife said it looked like Toy Town.

Turn the drone round and the land looks less like Toy Town and more like a building site.

You can see a lot more on Daniel’s youtube video at https://youtu.be/TsN62B9sJv0.

The rules seem to vary dependent on the size of the drone. Smaller drones are allowed to fly over people.

To be fair I made a mistake, I try not too. Try to give and get nothing on YouTube, December when the timelapse video (once a month photo) video is do of 18 months of photos, then done. No more.
Not worth it for nothing I get.

If you’re flying a drone or model aircraft that’s between 250g and 500g, or is C1 class, you can fly closer to people than 50m, but you must not intentionally fly over them.

So not the usual moan about houses getting built/ traffic when these pieces go out. Drone moan today. I try and give for nothing back. Not allowed over uninvolved people intentionally.
Did not see him on the little phone screen. Sunday would have been a better day as no one there.
You should see the dodgy stuff on YouTube and that is big Youtube channels. Not line of sight, do what they want, Too high. over people, railway lines, motorways, see it all. I try, spent money on a A2 CofC course with no job, money. Made a little mistake of being over 1 person.
      Not intentionally

Doing this as a photo every month now. Done the video thing now. Photo once a month until December if drone still going (you never know, lost 1st one in Oxford canal). Stick photos from last May or so into a video with some music, built, or not but 1st January rules change so close to anything all over. Ok for now. Sunday better as no one there, took advantage of nice weather and needed the monthly photo.

Daniel, that is clearly unintentional, it’s hard to document what you are doing when people are going about their business and moving about so don’t worry about the armchair drone police above and there is certainly no need to apologise. Keep up the good work in documenting the changes to the town.

I ran past this development at the weekend…and they are putting in a lot of yellow plastic pipe – I assume this is for gas supply….

So…erm…gas…it’s still going to be in use for the foreseeable then?

    I thought “Greta said no”…?

It’s such a shame…if only…if ONLY those houses could have been designed and built after the invention of solar panels, wind turbines, and ground source heat pumps… Darn and blast…if only…

One thing that strikes me is “where are they going to park their cars?” I assume they’ll be parked half on the pavement like every other new estate.
