The Fridge collects surplus food from local supermarkets and distributes to the community, thus saving tons of food waste. The scheme is going from strength to strength and has moved to a new venue. Everyone is welcome!
New location is Hadland Road Community Centre, Abingdon, OX14 3YH.
New Opening Hours are:
Monday 5 – 6 pm
Thursday 2 – 3 pm
Saturday 10.30 – 11.30 am
Doesn’t look very cold to me!
hello. does anyone know what time the Abingdon community fridge is open on Monday, Thursday and Friday?
Ah yes 11 years of Tory government doing its worst
What’s that supposed to mean? It’s not a food bank. It’s to avoid food waste and open to anyone.
Is the opposite of a Tory government doing its worst, a non-Tory government doing its worst instead?
I go, Give them nice drone video and photos on the community tag of the facebook.
Was hoping for a proper drone shot here over them, wont be the weather, cloudy. Get something for the facebook, web site.
I go once a week. Tomorrow.
Is good, Get all sorts and cakes 🙂
Done for 1. something years.
Worth doing but now horrible wet grass to stand in waiting. Thought old place at Day centre nice as hard standing and a porch, but it had to move. Get inside one day is the plan. Told Saturday. A bit outside with no gaziboo at the moment.
Say what?
A fantastic initiative!
Saving on waste as well as helping people to put food on the table during troubled times. It’s a win-win for everyone. Well done all involved!
