The Abingdon Artists’ Autumn Exhibition 2020 is being held until October 31st in Christchurch Barn, Northcourt, and is open 10am – 4pm everyday.
On the way in is a tribute to Josie Chapelle, one of the founding members, who has helped many new artists with her teaching skills and experience. The Abingdon Artists welcome all levels of artist.
This exhibition also has the work of some talented sculptors.
The exhibition has the usual Covid-19 precautions, rather like a shop: wearing a face mask is required, as is hand sanitisation; visitors are limited to ten at a time; contact details are taken through the the NHS Covid App, or paper slips; and there is a one way system.
the sculptures are good subjects for a photo … the three dimensional aspect helps the photo
It’s interesting that a reader in South Carolina USA, should comment on a post from Abingdon, Oxfordshire UK. Did you once live in Abingdon, or are you confusing us with Abingdon, Virginia USA?
And it’s rather nice to have the link. Not the first time, Denton; welcome to our riverside town.
I do belong to a group called City Daily Photo. There is a full list of places taking part here https://www.citydailyphoto.org/blog-portal/blog-index/. The heyday of photo blogging your home town or city was before facebook and twitter and instagram. So I sometimes get visitors from there. The first ever comment I got was from Ontario and they had a link with Abingdon.
Thanks Backstreeter for the explanation. I knew where Denton is rom because if one’s curser moves over his name, it becomes underlined, signifying that it has an embedded link to his web site. It would be nice if the underlining was always visible.
