How many bridges are there over the river Ock between the town centre and the A34?
————1) Alongside St Helens Mill.
2) At the start of the Ock Valley Walk. Here the mill stream cascades down to rejoin the Ock.
3) Near Meadowside and the firestation. Overflow water from the millstream rejoins the Ock.
4) Near Tower Close.
5) Also on the path from the Drayton Road to Tower Close.
6)The Drayton Road.
7) Connecting fields with the houses of Marcham Road behind.
8) This plain bridge was build at about the same time as Tesco to create a footpath from the Ladgrove Estate to Tesco. The Honda motorcycle dealership is seen behind.
9) This bridge is the nearest to Tesco.
10) This bridge is over a weir that helps control the river flow – no access except to environment agency personnel.
11) This is a recently constructed bridge (about 10 years old) giving access from Mill Road and the Tithe Farm estate (seen behind in the distance) to Tesco.
12) Downstream from New Cut Mill.
13) Upstream to New Cut Mill.
14) My favourite Ock Bridge is found over a long straight stretch of River. The bridge has no sides and is made of railway sleepers. During the summer you can sit on the edge, dangling your feet.
15) The A34 rushes by.
16) One bridge has not been pictured. That bridge is the _____N ______?
