Today at the Guildhall was the 50th Cat Show put on by the Oxford and District Cat Club. This lady, dressed up as a cat, had been out and about publicising the event, and she kindly did a cat pose for the camera.
Inside the hall I could not really understand what was going on.
Some ladies in white coats were going around putting endless rosettes on the cages. One lady I recognised but couldn’t place her in mufti.
And up on the stage some other more important judges sat around chatting and scribbling notes. In front of them were four cages:
B.I.S Longhair
B.I.S Shorthair
B.I.S Kitten
B.I.S Rescue
These categories were yet to be decided.
The rosettes however showed that a lot of categories were already decided. Best Black. Best tabby etc.
And the cats appeared to be doing what they do so well – sleep. These ones in the sky blue cage are burmese kittens.
