New Tea Room

New Tea Room
A new Tea Room is to open in East St Helen Street. The signs are up and there are notices in the window saying there looking for part time staff who can do Saturdays. The Tea Room facebook page has the same details.

Belinda’s Jewellery Box was in this premises before moving to West St Helen Street. Rosie’s Tea Room in West St Helen Street closed a few months ago and will, I believe, soon become a French Bistro.

    Unless one likes Indian or Chinese food, the only decent restaurant is Limoncello. A French bistro that knows how to cook authentic bistro food would be welcome.

    Peter, I’m not sure I can agree with you. We also have the following excellent restaurants;

    Dorindos – Mexican. Tasty and good value.
    Mezzeh House. Lebanese, lovely grilled meats, salads and much more.
    Crown & Thistle – A good all rounder.
    Chaba Thai – Delicious food.
    Bella Napoli – Great Italian.

    Looking forward to the French Bistro. Would also love a Spanish Tapas to come to town.

    Good news that Abingdon is getting a tea room again. Rosie’s was much missed. There is a good choice of coffee shops in the town centre but a Tea Room is something very different to a coffee shop!

    A French restaurant – lovely news! Anyone remember Chez Joel and Bistro Celte- both were great places to go to recapture holiday memories……
