May 2nd – Voters head to Polls across Abingdon-on-Thames

Local Election Day
Polling stations are open between 7am and 10pm on 2nd May. People can find out who they can vote for and where they need to go to cast their ballot by entering their postcode at whitehorsedc.gov.uk/candidates.

The Vale of White Horse District Council results will be counted early in the morning on 3rd May – results will be available via twitter.com/valevotes .

Abingdon-on-Thames Town Council results will be counted on May 3rd from about lunchtime. They will be on the Vale website and Abingdon-on-Thames Town Council web site.

    It is good to have a sweep through periodically as “a change is as good as a rest”; but we do remember that the last lib Dem Veil Council was far from perfect….(Abits, Gaol fiasco that still both haunts and hurts us)….

    I look forward to seeing tangible change in the next 3 years – getting rid of the current “Scottish Widows” (or some such such other) lease holders of the precinct and a decent “Phase 2” development are high up the ‘judgement’ list…

    I certainly couldn’t do it …but good luck!
