The Vale of White Horse District Council is giving people an extra incentive to shop locally for their presents this year by offering even more free parking days in the run up to Christmas.
In Abingdon that means that all the Saturdays from now until Christmas have all day free parking – 26 November and 3, 10, 17 and 24 December.
Well folks it’s Extravaganza this Saturday and I hope you support the towns businesses? It’s good to see Peacocks up and running and I have to say it looks really good, there’s only the old Super Drug unit empty now which is a positive for Abingdon, shame about the letter to the herald re the multi story car park closing at 7.00pm, will it be open this Saturday? And the other on line complaining about the appalling traffic problems, perhaps that’s two issues the new BID team can work on ?
Apart from the Abingdon BID being talked about in the features/comments on this blog and via its own website here http://www.abingdon.bid I never here or see anything about it anywhere else… is it some kind of secret society or being specifically hidden from view.
