Well at least someone is supporting ordinary people. I have not heard Nicola Blackwood speaking out against the closure of our children’s centers, cutting of our bus services for the elderly, cutting of services for the homeless etc. This is why Brexit was so successful because M P’s really do not care or fight for services for the ordinary population. Trump is very popular in the States because he is not afraid to speak about issues that ordinary people are concerned about.

    lady, so am I.

My mobility is very limited, but I was refused a Blue Badge. Although it took time, the NHS boss continuing to say no, she got me re-assessed. Without NIcola, it wouldn’t have been possible.

Trump is popular because he is a demagogue. Demagogues are dangerous because they reduce complex problems to ‘either/or’ simplicity when neither option is the whole truth.

Demagogues in elections are doubly dangerous because they work on emotions in order to polarise people and demonise opponents. Donald Trump epitomises this way of operating. Unfortunately, people believe the ‘simple’ proposition because it is easier than having to live with the art of the possible.

The Lady — sorry you’re feeling ‘weary’.

Unfortunately, this town is weary with problems that Nicola Blackwood is typically silent and inactive on. Janet touches upon some of these above.

Peter: genuinely glad she has helped you on this. A Blue Badge — way to go, Nicola. More of the same please on other, substantial issues.

Until we see more activity that genuinely benefits this town from Nicola then it’s a one-handed clap from me and others.

It is not an easy job for anyone in charge regardless of the Political Party but continued criticism does not help

I’m not bashing Nicola but following the tragic accident on the A34 last week there was a nice photo of Nicola and Sajid Javid in the Oxford mail addressing the A34 problem The photo was taken in January 2014, two and a half years ago, with the tag “We must act quickly”.

There are two petitions to reduce the speed limit to 50mph on the section of the A34 where the accident happened.
There was a fatality there in June too and one of the petitions has been set up by his girlfriend. The other one is on the government petition website.

Trump is a stupid racist who is popular because of some thick Americans. Dont worry he wont get into power. Comparing to Nicola Blackwood is utterly ludicrous, but a good chance and effort to have a pop.
