Have a Nice Day – from the Audlett Drive hedge

On one side of Audlett Drive are fairly modern houses. Along the other side runs an 800 metre long hedge, beyond which are fields, and Wick Hall, nowadays divided into apartments.

Follow the hedge along and you can see things cut in relief into the hedge.

I think this is great fun. I tried to do a topiary swan in my hedge but it is privet and this does not hold the shape well. Monty Don said that yew is good for topiary. Box is also good.
