The overhead lights along the High Street are new this year. The curtain of lights in the museum and the candles on the Market Place are there for the second year.
The Finishing Touch won the best window for the second year running.
All back to front in the window of Costa.
The Abbey Shopping Centre has these shooting stars which are not quite so new.
On Saturday Carbon Cutters will be holding a short candle-lit vigil in the Market Place in Abingdon (round the Christmas Tree) at 5.30pm to support the negotiators in Copenhagen.
Christine: The building with the 'rounded windows' is, to give it its full title, The Abingdon County Hall Museum, hence, obviously, it is used as a museum. Although owned by the town council, the museum has its own website: http://www.abingdonmuseum.org.uk/. There are big plans for its refurbishment, not least to provide a degree of disabled access.

they are curtains of light apparently – hanging in the windows for pretty effect.
I have to ask you what is inside the building with the rounded windows? It looks like it is entirely filled with lights.
Thanks, these are beautiful.
The christmas lights have improved considerably in the past few years.
Shame the town is deserted most evenings and there seems to be only one evening event during the festive period
