There was a fire in the Cottage Imperial on Friday 3rd October 2008. We did not realise back then how long it would take to get it up and running again. There were few signs of the fire outside but inside it had been extensive.
It has finally re-opened and there is 25% off for the first couple of weeks.
The Cottage Imperial is the one on Bridge Street at the corner of Turnagain Lane.
I was there, i was there….on that night. (nuffink to do wiv me tho).
Glad to see it has re-opened…it was far and away the best chineese meal in Town.

i recall a few years back walking past there on a saturday morning and smoke coming out of the door – i assumed that was the fire – clearly they had a problem if it happened more than once
We are huge fans of the new Cottage Imperial, we usually order a takeaway but have also dined in. The food is fantastic and the service second to none.
Brilliant Chinese – I love the buffet style menu they do. The other day there were two parties totalling 14 chinese people eating in there – that has to be good surely?
