The World Cup is due to start in Brazil . Here in Abingdon I am not sure whether The Midget
or the College Oak has the better display of flags. The College Oak has more up front but The Midget has more round the side.
England expects – not a lot this time. It will be an achievement if the England team get over the first hurdle (Italy). Anything after that will be a bonus.
Rumours flying around that the landlord of the Brewery Tap has bought The Grapes and is turning it into a sports bar?
Anyone know anything futher on this?
The Grapes opened Saturday, has sky sports and serves ale.
I walked past The Broad face today and it looks as if it, too, has been turned into a Bar. I think??
I hope that they have some success and get some support.
The Broad Face has new management, really nice guy and has great ideas for the bar, hope everyone supports it!
What about food at the Broad Face? I always found the meals delicious and, importantly, good value.
