Martin spotted this new sign walking up the Vineyard the other day. He says he is guessing someone ordered the sign by email – r and n can get squashed together in a few fonts. He says does no-one proof-read these things? Or is there a new sponsor!
Ashley says “Not sure if you have spotted it but the Abingdon Exchange has closed down or at least all the shelves in the shop are empty and it looks a bit deserted“
Perhaps the town council has embraced an entrepreneurial spirit and obtained sponsorship. Coming soon: Bun throwing, brought to you by Hovis and the Spud-u-like mayor’s ball.
Not to mention the Abingdon-by-Tesco’s traditional Morris Lubricants dancers.
the possibilities are endless.
I reckon Abingdon Exchange was set up as a temporary measure, maybe to sell the blockbuster stock
…according to a post on ‘spotted Abingdon’, the Exchange is just closed for a refurb…
I do hope its the latter, a refurb is a very positive move, (I know the rent offer was for a limited time),
