Seventy-Five Festive Railing Toppers at St Helen’s Wharf

On the first day of December, seventy-five railing toppers appeared along the waterfront promenade of St Helen’s Wharf in Abingdon.

Each crocheted topper shows the traditional Christmas pudding with a sprig of holly and red berries.

By its nature, Yarnbombing is anonymous and secretive, and I am still trying to guess who is behind this display.

Walking down the road last night, I passed an apple pie, an ice cream sundae and a lemon cheesecake.
I thought: ‘The streets are strangely desserted tonight ‘ 😉
