On Saturday afternoon a boat was sunk near Margaret Brown Gardens. This picture was taken Sunday lunchtime. By Sunday evening the boat was all underwater.
I read on a boating forum “bout a dozen blokes on the booze came past us in a possibly Shetland 19ft ish boat when we were in the Nags Head garden yesterday afternoon. All sitting on the bow/roof steering with their feet. Mate says to me that’s gonna end in tears.“
So is anyone going to remove it or is it down to their insurance??
The last time we had a boat left on the river bank it took another flood to sift the problem down to Culham lock.
Doubt they had insurance as it didn’t have a license until one was nicked from another boat. Hopefully the EA will know who’s it is and will charge them for recovery although I’m not that hopeful
