Christmas Lights – town centre

Thanks to Peter for a picture  of the Extravaganza as the lights were turned on. It is always a dramatic moment.

The lights have been on for a few evenings now.

What still looks new is the display along Bury Street.

Scottish Widows put their lights on two weeks before the Extravaganza.

I always enjoy the lights whether they come from Independent Retailers, Town Council, or Pension Funds.

So do I, our Phab christmas meal (Drayton Golf Club), usually coincides with/after switch on, 2 laps round, so my passengers can see the lights. This year, it was held before switch on. Thanks for the photos, Hope to see them myself this weekend.

The lights are beautiful, such an effort is made to make
Abingdon on Thames lovely at Christmas,
    .
I do wish people would not leave so much rubbish lying around which spoils all the hard work.
