Boats, Bus tickets and sunset

The day was chilly. No stalls on the Market Place. But later, a couple of boats from AV Boats on the River Thames took out some hardy people.

We caught the bus to Oxford to buy art materials that used to be so much better at Prices – a much-missed shop. Bus tickets are currently £2 as part of a government-financed scheme to get people onto buses.

Then for a walk as the setting sun shone through the clouds behind St Helen Church.

Valentine Crochet and Disco

Valentine’s Day is back on top of the postbox in the Market Place with a clever crochet idea.

On Saturday, the Abingdon Community Support day centre organised a Valentine’s Disco on Audlett Drive. The day centre usually arranges daytime activities for adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health problems and dementia.

A good time was had by all at the disco.

There is more information about the day centre at https://livewell.oxfordshire.gov.uk/Services/3217.
