Downton Abbey at the Abbey Cinema

Downton Abbey
The red carpet was out at the Abbey Cinema in Abingdon for the first showing of the Downton Abbey movie.
Downton Abbey
Downton Abbey was a very successful TV series that followed the dramatic events at the Downton Abbey stately home from 1912 to 1925, through six series and Christmas specials. The movie takes up the story in 1927. Like many other stately homes Downton Abbey had been downsizing. Then they are told that King George V and Queen Mary plan to visit and call their ex butler out of retirement to put on a good show to impress the royals.
